Kick Confirmed!

After numerous attempts to have Mike feel the baby kick, he finally did late last night. I had learned my lesson though. Instead of feeling the kick and then yelling for Mike to feel, which probably resulted in freaking the little baby, I did things differently this time.

As soon as I felt a gentle nudge I whispered to Mike to be quiet and I slowly moved his hand to the scene of the activity. Sure enough, little baby let his dad know that baby was there.

It was cool.

Baby Kicked!

About 2 weeks ago I had started to notice flutters... Friday night I felt tapping.... and last night I felt kicking!!!!!!!!!! Every time I would feel a little kick I would call Mike in from the other room to feel... but then baby would get a little shy and stop.

Sooner or later Pop is going to feel his baby kick. This is definitely exciting and new.

17 weeks and change!

I am now 4 months and one week and 2 days into this feat of craziness... Did I say craziness? I meant....... amazingness. Baby is getting bigger and is now about 5 inches long. I remember when he (or she) measured only the size of a blueberry. I am now feeling relatively well on a consistent basis. At least I say that. Mike would probably say differently. He is the lucky one to hear about every head ache or muscle ache. Energy has come back to me, but not enough to start that gym habit that has been on the agenda for about forever. Note to self: start that gym habit..... soon.

July 22... will be here sooner than we know it.
