Kyle Chrysostom Maginnis, RIP
Kyle "closed his beautiful, sparkling eyes for the last time" this date in the year of our Lord 2003 when he was only 20 years old. When he opened them again he could see the world from the perspective of God. Kyle, intercede for us! Our love continues to pour out to him and his family. Let's not forget to offer our mass for him.

We heard the heartbeat today!
Hello gang!
We heard what Peter describes as a helicopter today as we heard our little baby's steady and strong heart beat. I was terrified when we didn't hear it at first, but sure enough our shy little baby could hide no longer and we heard the wonderfully reassuring little beat!
We are getting a sonogram at 16 weeks on April 6th and that may be able to tell us if the baby is a little boy or a little girl...unless our baby is shy again and we need to wait until our other scheduled sonogram at 23 weeks...we'll keep you posted!
Daddy Vitz is as proud as can be of the little life and a true steadfast advocate for Mommy Vitz at the doctor's office. Mommy Vitz is anxiously waiting until she can feel the little swimmer working on her freestyle! Baby Vitz (aka jumbo shrimp) is greatly anticipating Mary and Margaret's (whose email addresses I don't have) confirmations on Saturday!
The three of us hope to see all of you then!
Lots of love and prayers,
Daddy, Mommy, and Baby Vitz

Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Oh Most Holy Joseph, spouse of Mary and foster father of Jesus; I give infinite thanks to God because He chose you for such exalted ministries and adorned you all the gifts proportionate to such an excellent greatness. I beseech you, through the love you had for the Divine Child, pray that He may engulf me with fervent desires to see Him and receive Him sacramentally until I may see Him and rejoice in His divine essence in heaven. Amen

Royals Week in Review
Andrew went back to the Mount ...... Preparations for the celebration are heating up! We celebrated Patrick Joseph Connolly's 1st Feast Day in utero yesterday! May he rival St. Patrick in service to God! Ann and Pete were quiet as church mice. Can't wait to see sonogram pictures of the wee one. Thomas is now the proud owner of a Jeep Cherokee that will facilitate visits to a much admired ballerina. Mary's spirit continues strong! We very much admire her undaunted love for life! James has been twice at bat with two in the park home runs! Also, he has been been able to strike out a batter with bases loaded! Go James! Margaret is adjusted to her new glasses is progressing well with her typing. John Paul has brought home an A for his John Deere research paper. Daddy and I enjoyed having Don Meyer and Aunt Katie for dinner yesterday to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today is St. Patrick's feast day. (And little baby Connolly's feast day, too! Remember to say a special prayer for our baby today.)
Hope everyone is in the spirit and is wearing GREEN!
(If you are from the diocese of Washington, DC then you don't have to abstain from meat today. If you are from the Arlington diocese then you can only abstain from meat if you have substituted the sacrifice to another day.)

Happy 25th, Ellen!
Happy Birthday, daughther, wife and mother extraordinaire! Baby boy Connolly is happy. We can see by his laughter! Daddy Connolly is happy we can tell by his laughter and emails and all the Royals are happy with you and for you on your 25th. You've done well. We love you.
'Member that smile...?
Scouting Report for First Round of MLB Draft, 2027
Above please find the 19-week ultrasound images of Baby Boy Connolly. In the first, you can see his mouth is open because he's clearly laughing and a well-humored baby (notice also his well-developed rib cage. In the second, he is ostensibly sucking his thumb but in reality flexing his massive biceps muscle for the camera. It is also worth mentioning that the little chap seems in perfect health, as is his heroic mommy.
