Genesis 1:22

Six months of the world and P.J. is already bored. He whines incessantly about not having anyone his own age to play with. He's figured out that the stuffed animals are not real, and Miss Ellen contines her quixotic campaign to delay the arrival of our inevitable labrador puppy.

So, rather than getting the dog (yet), we've decided to get him something almost as good: a sibling! All Connollys are ecstatic: Ellen can't wait to be pregnant for the second consecutive summer, Mike can't wait for Patrick to finally have his own personal catcher, and P.J. can't wait to meet someone so small he can fit both their feet in his mouth at once.

For those keeping score at home, Baby #2 is due August 6, 2007, just in time to see Matt Damon reprise his role as an amnesiac assassin in The Bourne Ultimatum!

Hello, Marcelo!

Welcome to our family blog. Your little Isabelle is beautiful! She is at a very precious age. I pulled-up her picture on the screen and asked Ellen who that was. Her first word was, Marcelo! She looks very much like the picture we have of you when you were just a boy. Also it is very nice to get a glimpse of your lovely wife Mara. How nice to get to know a little about her. It was great speaking with you this morning. I'm so glad to hear of your new job with IBM and of your recent move into your own place. Thanks so much for the great pictures. I hope there will be many more coming as the time passes by.

6 Months!

I'm already six months old. I have learned so much in such a short time. I can roll over, sit up and eat some food. I love eating food. Sometimes mom feeds me too slowly so I take the spoon from her and try to feed myself. She says soon I will eat sweet things like bananas and peaches, but right now i am just eating cereal. It is still better than boring bottles! I have also figured out that chewing my thumb is a lot easier than trying to fit all 10 of my fingers in my mouth at once.
