Nate is getting bigger...

Nate still pretty much just eats and then sleeps and sleeps and sleeps....Here are the few times that he was awake long enough to get his picture taken. He had his first bath the other day, but he didn't like it at all. Hopefully soon Nate will enjoy bath time like Pat does. He has so much fun.

Plebe Summer Parents Weekend

This weekend was wonderful for two reasons. Ignatius Thomas Connolly and James Michael Royals were both homebound!

Here are some pictures of James during Plebe Parents Weekend.

The four brothers.

Two brothers: one mid and one ensign

Another shot of the four brothers- what a handsome group!

Mom just got a glimpse of her marching son! Mary wants to join the parade!

One of those special moments.

The weekend wouldn't be complete without a pillow fight. James gives Simon some pointers.

Air born Simon- might he have a call to a different service academy-like perhaps the Air Force?
It will be my mission this week to get some photos of Nate now that he is at home...

...stay tuned!!!

Ignatius Thomas Connolly

Nate Connolly was born today, August 8th, at 3:29pm. Weighing in at 10 lbs. 11 oz, with a full head of dark brown hair and the sweetest eyes on a baby Connolly since Patrick Joseph, he is one good looking sweetheart.

Father Connolly was beaming with pride, Mother Connolly was looking as radiant as ever and Big Brother Connolly was already trying to get little Nate to play with him!

Here are some photos of the fantastic family:

Congratulations Mike, Ellen and Patrick!
What a great family you have, Nate!

ITC!!!

...stay tuned...

August 6th

On August 6, 2004, I was late for my very first date with Mike.

On August 6, 2007, Mike and I are waiting for our hopefully not late 2nd son. He has 14 more hours before he is late.... and yes, I am counting them!

Summer at the Lake 2007

Nana and Grandtahter were as wonderfull as ever. They spoiled us with boat rides and wonderful meals.

Our days were filled with, good conversation around the 5-generation-oak-table,

water aerobics for Mom and Dad
-at least 30 minutes daily,

We read about St. Athanasius and Harry Potter
We were deeply enriched by Fr. Columbas sermons and very pleased to see the progess in the building of the new St. Peter's Church.

The vistas from the dock were magical as ever.

Even the birds of the air found some comfort there.

Mary did her swim team exercises. She does a great free style stroke.

Tons of water sport for Mary and Margaret
while John Paul tried to make-up for missing siblings.
Thank you, Nana and Grandfather. We were so happy!

C'mon Mike and Ellen! You can do it!

"...She regarded his role as central and expected him to do more than act as chauffeur and supporter. After a frantic hour battling rush-hour traffic on Interstate 66, Bob Griesemer burst through the front door of their modest Centreville home and sprinted down the hall to the master bedroom. Less than 30 minutes later, their son Michael, who weighed 10 pounds, was born just as his parents planned: without assistance from a doctor, nurse or midwife. As he had five years earlier when their fifth child was born in their bed, Bob Griesemer caught the newborn and cut the umbilical cord..."
