Uncle Father Andrew returned to his home in Sacred Heart Parish today! Our prayers are with him. God speed.
We send a heartfelt thank you to all who watched and prayed and accompanied our family. Each of us felt the love and the graces. Our hope is that the wonderful blessings we received may return ten fold to each of you.

UPDATE on Fr. Drew
Mom and Dad just called with news:
The Doctors have decided to continue to medically manage Drew. They will wean him off of the intravenous medication that has been controlling his blood pressure and switch it to oral medication. Provided that this goes well, they hope to transfer him out of Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
This is good news!
Thanks for all your prayers and keep them coming.

Update on Father Andrew
Hello All (informative),
Andrew Royals has done well for the first 48 hours.
There have been no complications thus far and the medical staff are pleased to see that he remains in good spirits.
His current treatment consists of medications to asssist him in the control of very specific blood pressure parameters. These are modified by inherent dynamics as well as environmental conditions. His blood pressure elevates with emotion, stress and thelike.
I suggest NO VISITS to Andrew for the next 24 hours, to assure thathe continues his current recovery.

Keeping in touch with Fr. Andrew
Many of you have been asking about when you can visit Father Andrew or how best to send him your love, regards, prayers, thoughts, etc. For the moment, the hospital staff is not allowing any visitors because of the great importance of keeping his blood pressure down. Therefore, if any of you would like to send a note or any news to Fr. Andrew, please feel free to email him at this address: getwellfatherandrew@gmail.com. Tom & Ceci will be checking this regularly and will be sure to read your notes to him whenever they can.
Again, many thanks for all of your assistance and prayers!
God bless.

Update Father Andrew 02
Hello again,RP.
Andrew remains in good spirits and, medically, without current problems. There have been no complications from this event so far and the team is very positive.
Today was amazing.....I have seen the actions/emotions/contributions/interventions of many amazing people, amongst them ........my nephew, my dear nephew........my sisters, my brothers, monsignors, archbishops, directors of hospitals and bishops. I saw nurses raise to the ocassion by treating our beloved exactly like every patient they treat. Father Andrew will remain under current management until Monday 12/10/07 when his case will be discussed within a very large multidisciplinary group. Questions: call Tia Nancy Invites: call Tio Paulito (just kidding, always available!)

Update Father Andrew 01 from Uncle Paul
Hello all, this is an informative e-mail:
Andrew is stable and being watched in the intensive care unit, without any critical issues at present. With his permission and the 'go-ahead' of his family, this is the situation:
1-He has had an aortic dissection (www.emedicine.com), which is a separation of the inner third of the aorta's wall into the middle of the blood stream of the aorta, he did not bleed out from the aorta. His blood pressure is well controlled and has been relatively easy to control. This is extremely important for now.
2-He has not had any organ damage of complications from the dissection that we are aware of.
3-He is fully awake and is enjoying everyones support.4- Washington Hospital center is off of North Capitol and Irving (www.whcenter.org)Bed: 3G-06, visiting hour (which are strict) are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM5- Tom and Cecy are at WHC currently.I'm available on my cell if needed 202 207 8271
Love to all,
Paul
PS: My Goodness ! Last night, walking the halls, we felt your prayers and thoughts for Andrew like the wireless network behind that guy in the commercial !!. LL
