Christmas Day Dinner 2008

God bless the master of this house.
God bless his mistres too
and all the little children
that round the table go.

Thank you all, near and far, for helping us celebrate Christmas.
Love and joy come to you!

Last few days of Advent!

Oh Come, oh come Emanuel!
Christmas is coming! Much to do to get ready!

Ven a nuestras almas, ven no tardes tanto!

The Buckos win!

136.05 to 132.28

A fantasy football update...

VS

(a.k.a. John Paul Royals vs. Uncle Peter Shifter)

Regular season champs the South Chelsea Side trail the fifth-seeded Bethesda Buckos heading into the Monday-Night phase of their semi-final match.
Can Rodgers, Briggs, Blackmon, and Urlacher combine for the 41.22 points the Side need to avoid a major upset?
It may be cold outside, but this old-fashoined FFFF 2008! barn-burner is keeping sports fans toasty and warm as the playoffs light-up like chestnuts too close to that open fire.
Ho Ho Ho!

First visit to Knollwood!

Fr. Drew and Fr. Ben at Nana and Grandfather's new home.

I think these men are related...

Call it more-than-a-hunch, but I think these two men just might be related.
But how?
It can't be something so simple as they both have the same photographer who makes them strike unique poses...or can it?
You decide.

Making Gingerbread Men

Mike's Aunt Carole and Uncle Cricket gave the boys a ginerbread kit. It made for a fun and delicious afternoon.

Pat ate so many gingerbread cookies that he started to become one!

Nate is wearing the goodness all over his face!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Saturday the Vitz family purchased their Christmas tree.
Simon was thrilled at the thought that we were bringing a real life tree inside the house AND that we would be putting lights on it.
Getting ready to put on our tree topper.
Simon inspecting a job well done. He thinks our angel is Isaac.
We suppose there is some resemblance.

Isaac was such a trooper. He has had such a bad head cold but he was as excited about our decorating the tree as anyone.

Sunday, Simon was thrilled that the tree was still there!

And Isaac finally found those visions of sugar plums he had been searching for.

When mountains are measured in seconds....

JP after 4 grueling days of swimming competition.
He swam his first USA meet this weekend at George Mason University with his swim club. In between events he also swam two meets for The Heights School and helped bring in two wins.
He had fun swimming in a pool where Michael Phelps broke a record when he was in high school and JP got a taste of swimming with some top swimmers .
He's wiped-out but loving it!

Merry Feast of The Immaculate Conception of Mary

Today marks the one year anniversary of surviving the night that our Fr. Andrew dissected his aorta.

We merrily renew our thanksgiving for the intercession of Our Lady on Fr. Andrew's behalf.

We thank all of you for the clamor of prayers on his behalf that stormed heaven from family and friends and friends of friends of friends. We are so happily amazed!

We offer our love and prayers for your intentions at today's Mass and continuing.

Isaac Andrew turns 6 months.

Any "baby" status he may have once enjoyed has now been passed on to sweet Penny.
Once you hit the 6 month mark you start loading the dishwasher.

Check out Isaac's latest trick:

We love you so much Isaac!
